The specimens are from my Atlantic Beach, Florida apiary. I photographed them over many seasons in an outdoor studio created at the entrance of the honeybee hives. I utilized sunlight to illuminate the bees’ flight over time, and creating traces of their movement. After spending countless hours feeling mesmerized by the trails of the bees flying to and from the hive, I wanted to archive the wonder I felt.
